Thaheeb

Privacy Policy

At Thaheeb, we respect your privacy and protect your personal data in line with Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing regulations. This policy explains what data we collect through the thaheeb.com website and the Thaheeb View Android app, how we use it and your rights over it.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Who we are

Thaheeb is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and provides the thaheeb.com website and the Thaheeb View app. For any privacy question, email us at info@thaheeb.com.

Data we collect

  • Data you give us through the contact form: your full name, email address, phone number, shop or business name and your message if you write one.
  • Usage data, only with your consent: if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect statistics about your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider, Vercel, logs basic technical data, such as your IP address and the time of each request, to run and protect the site.

We don't ask you to create an account, and the site doesn't collect any financial or payment data.

How we use your data

  • To respond to and follow up on your enquiry.
  • To send you updates about the launch of Thaheeb products, which you agree to when you submit the form.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, if you accept analytics.
  • To protect the site from abuse and spam.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

Cookies and local storage

  • Google Analytics only loads after you click “Accept” on the consent banner. If you click “Decline”, no analytics cookies are used.
  • Local storage: we save your choice (accept or decline) in your browser so we don't ask you again on every visit.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. The consent banner will then appear again.

The Thaheeb View app

Thaheeb View is our Android app for tablets and Android TV devices (package com.thaheeb.screen). It turns a managed device into a dedicated full-screen display for a website chosen by the device administrator. This is how the app handles data:

  • No advertising or analytics: the app contains no advertising and no analytics tools of its own.
  • The website it displays: the app shows https://kiosk.thaheeb.com, or another HTTPS website set by the administrator, using Android System WebView. Like any browser, it sends that website standard data such as the device's IP address, browser details, the time of each request and your interactions with the page. The website's own practices for cookies, local storage, analytics, forms, accounts and retention apply while it is on screen. If the administrator sets a website not run by Thaheeb, that website's privacy policy applies.
  • Camera and microphone: optional and off by default. They only work if the administrator turns them on, you allow access for that website on screen and Android grants permission. When allowed, the camera or microphone is passed to the website on screen. The app itself doesn't upload or keep any recordings.
  • Data kept on the device: the administrator's settings, PINs, the device's recovery credential and an access token for local management are stored only on the device. PINs are never stored in plain form and the token is encrypted. The app doesn't send PINs or tokens to Thaheeb.
  • Local management: the optional management service only accepts connections from the device itself and is never exposed to the internet.
  • Device permissions: device-owner mode, lock-task mode, the home-screen role, starting at boot, running in the foreground, keeping the screen awake, notifications and the optional display over other apps are used only to run the device as a dedicated display and recover it. They are never used for advertising or profiling.
  • Crash reports: if the device shares usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google Play may give us crash and performance reports that don't identify you.

Sharing with third parties

We use trusted service providers to run the site and share only what each service needs:

  • Brevo delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Google Analytics provides usage statistics, only with your consent.
  • Vercel hosts and runs the site.
  • Google Play distributes the Thaheeb View app.

Some of this data may be processed on servers outside Saudi Arabia. When that happens, we follow the regulatory rules for transferring data outside the Kingdom.

External links

The site links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X and Instagram. When you use them, each platform's own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep data

We keep contact-form data for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry, for up to 24 months. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Data the Thaheeb View app stores on a device stays there until it is removed. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it deletes that data. Where the app runs in device-owner mode, removing it may need the device administrator or a factory reset.

Your rights

Under the PDPL, you have the right to:

  • Be told how your data is collected and processed.
  • Access your data and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct or update your data.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Withdraw your consent, including unsubscribing from launch updates.

To use any of these rights, email info@thaheeb.com and we'll reply promptly, and in any case within 30 days. If we need longer, we may extend this by up to 30 more days, and we'll tell you about the extension and the reasons for it in advance. You can also file a complaint with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).

How we protect data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, encrypted email delivery, protected storage of PINs and tokens in the Thaheeb View app and access limited to the people who need it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
